All the AlpVision authentication applications automatically detect authentic products by analyzing in real-time the video stream coming from the camera of the smartphone, giving the user instant authentication of the product. This is particularly impressive since the detected features are invisible to the naked eye. However, many customers have requested to be able to recognize not only genuine items but also to automatically detect counterfeit products. We recently developed this new capability and it is now used in several released products. This added functionality expands the versatility and user friendliness of AlpVision authentication solutions.
